The Project

Situated in the heart of the picturesque Poros town, this 1950’s villa was abandoned for many years until we found it for our clients. The new owners needed more space so the renovation included an extension of both ground and upper floor. Poros town is considered traditional monument and therefor protected by the Ministry of Culture.

Our Approach

We worked together with the Ministry of Culture, department of Newer Monuments Protection to make sure our renovation respects the history of the house ( belongs to the greek modernism period ) as well as the tradittional character of the town.

A spacious living room was added on ground floor while on upper floor a separate studio was made. Internally floors and ceilings are completely new, a small storage room was converted into a beautiful shower room, rooms changed uses according to new needs. The upper studio was designed so that it is independ.
